Summertime
What is the world coming to,
Summer's filled with stormy weather;
Yet the heart's as light as a feather,
When the eyes set upon you.
In case you guys don't already know, the summer holidays are here! I'd better enjoy these 4 months of holidays to the max before I begin my year as a junior. (I'd attributed my feeling of being lost and disoriented this term to the really short holiday we had that resulted in me not being fully rested.) I want to be enthusiastic and raring-to-go come August! Life's good. =)
Now that I've a portable combo drive (it came with my new laptop), I shall finally start backing up this old laptop of mine, send it for servicing and reformatting, fix the spoilt RAM slot and buy RAM so that I will have two functioning laptops! (I'd have added an *evil laugh* and thoughts of conquering the world but I shan't count my chickens before they hatch. *winks*)
Here's to a holiday filled with internships, community service, photo-taking expeditions, rejuvenating trips, lots and lots of sleep, self-discovery and spending time with family and friends! =)
Life's just lovely, isn't it?

Click on the picture to enlarge - Gracia & I had a good laugh over this as we were looking to book a room for my birthday last Saturday (every room was booked, by the way, bah). Many more gems to be uncovered as people enter amusing stuff into the non-consequential box of "Purpose" when booking a room. That said, I must be really bored to be showing this! Who says SMU students have no sense of humour?
My first week of being 21...
turns out to be one of the worst weeks ever.
A horrible infection (upper respiratory tract infection) and a fever made me miss an exam; took that one and another all in one day yesterday. My brain has been squeezed dry and them neurons have never worked so hard before!
Not taking medicine yesterday to preserve my memory, thinking capabilities and logic (ie. so I wouldn't be drowsy during the exams, not that I had much of them anyway) probably made my condition worse and if you heard someone coughing every 5 minutes at LKCSB SR 2.2 yesterday afternoon, that person was me.
I am now officially voice-less, with barely a whisper for a voice, and a throbbing head to accompany that. So do pardon me if I don't pick up calls. SMS/email is the way to go.
It's never good to be sick during exam week. You can't study much because you are sick and neither can you write nor think/remember much during the exams because you are sick. Boo.

Meanwhile, I would like to thank the following lovely people for wishing me Happy Birthday:
Thanks Aliya-Joachim-Esther-Mervyl-Hassan-Hamid-Izati-Harti-Gracia-Joshua-Shane-Ridz-Min-Tiffany-Alex-Saify-Adila-Boredin-Hamidah-Titus-Arjun-Michelle-Li Ying-Nor-Zati-Norli-Jason-Kai-Putra-Muhammad-Asrie-Yvette!
Of course I have to thank my family members (auntie, cousin & baby monster incl.) as well. I hope I haven't left anybody out!

One more exam to go!

Happy Belated Birthday!
So I missed the birthday post for my blog, which just recently turned 1. With all that is left to do is a set of minutes to do up, a laptop to be sent to the service centre and overdue library books to be returned, I am now officially free to study for my finals! Oh the irony of it all. :P
My 21st birthday is coming up, and I'm left to wonder how I should celebrate it. A party is out of the way; SMUggers (sounds pretty nice for a future club name, I must say) will not have time to spare for poor-ol-me. *chuckles* Mere lunch/dinner sounds a tad too unexciting for a girl who's turning, well, 21; as they like to say, "You're finally an adult!" Maybe when I turn 21, I will finally be enlightened to what being an adult is all about, though I highly suspect that I will end up being hugely disappointed at how overstated it will turn out to be.
Well, I know what I don't want, but as usual, I know not what I truly want. Still, to fulfill my hedonistic desires, I shall attempt to write a wishlist, arranged in order of feasibility. *ahem*
